    Rosenberg PD In Search of Bank Robbery Suspects     ROSENBERG, Texas (October 29, 2009) – On Thursday, October 29 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Rosenberg Police responded to an aggravated robbery at Capital One Bank at 2810 First St.   The suspect entered the bank and demanded money while displaying a handgun. The suspect did obtain an undisclosed amount of cash along with a dye pack that exploded.   Investigators are in search of a white male between 40 and 50 years of age, approximately 5ft 10 inches to 6 ft 2 inches, wearing a baseball cap, dark color button-up shirt and blue jeans. The suspect wore a white bandana over his face during the robbery.     Rosenberg PD charge complainant with false report     On Sunday, November 8, 2009 around 3:30 pmRosenberg police responded to SouthwestMemorialHospital after receiving notification of an attempted sexual assault.  The alleged victim, Cecilia Gomez, W/F, 23 years of age, told investigators that while she was in the custody of the Rosenberg Jail Facility on November 7, 2009 that the arresting Officer went into her cell and asked her to disrobe and had sexual contact with her.    Detective Randall Leonhardt took the initial report and investigated the allegation.  During the course of the investigation it became evident that Cecilia Gomez had fabricated the story and that there was no evidence to support any type of misconduct on the part of the Officer.  This afternoon Detective Leonhardt secured a warrant for the arrest of Cecilia Gomez for Falsifying a Report to a Police Officer.  The warrant was issued by Precinct 1, Place 1 Judge Gary Jansen and bond in this case has been set at $1000.00.  The charge is a Class B misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine of up to $2000 and /or confinement in jail for up to 180 days.   ###
